We’re an early-stage team/stealth start-up working with GORILLA creating an AI platform for press and media — building smarter ways for companies to reach the right journalists and share their stories with the world.
You’ll join an existing founding team of two (one technical and one sales/marketing). We’re currently part of a U.S. accelerator, our product design is complete, and we’re preparing for beta. Early feedback has been strong, and we’re already in talks with angels and a pipeline of over 100 micro-VC and seed investors. We’re pushing hard to secure funding and bring this product to market.
About the Role
We’re looking for a data engineer to join as a technical co-founder and build a greenfield ETL pipeline for our media-contact database.
You’ll:
• Ingest existing journalist and media-contact data via APIs
• Enrich and link profiles with contextual data from sources like X/Twitter, TheOrg, and NewsAPI
• Summarize each journalist’s coverage to enable precise targeting
• Build a discovery engine to identify and profile new journalists
• Ensure data governance and GDPR compliance
Press outreach and profile analysis are handled by an existing co-founder — your focus will be on the core data infrastructure.
Who You Are
You have a relevant technical background in data engineering, APIs, or machine learning.
You’re interested in joining a startup where autonomy, experimentation, and ownership matter.
You’re a strong communicator with solid English skills.
You’re ambitious, reliable, and have a strong sense of ethics.
You want to build something real — not just code, but a company.
We’re a Swedish/Danish-based team but open to candidates anywhere in the world. We’re currently remote, everyone is moonlighting, but we’re focused and moving fast.
If you want to be part of a small, global team shaping the future of how stories reach the world, we’d love to hear from you.
