Kyky Today Oy is a forward-thinking startup creating a web platform designed to connect people, opportunities, and skills through meaningful digital experiences. Our web app https://kyky-today.web.app is almost ready for launch, and we’re looking for a Full Stack Developer Intern with React and AI tool experience to help us finalize the site, fix remaining bugs, and develop intelligent new features such as AI-powered matchmaking and personalization.
We’ve already worked with over 60 interns from across Finland, collaborating with major universities and työkokeilu programs. Joining us means becoming part of a close-knit team passionate about innovation, learning, and impact.
Your Role
As a Full Stack Developer Intern, you will:
Co-create and code new features for our React web app.
Fix and refine existing bugs to ensure seamless functionality and performance.
Collaborate on AI-powered features, such as intelligent matchmaking, recommendations, and user personalization using modern AI tools and APIs.
Co-design and prototype UI/UX improvements based on our Figma designs.
Work directly with our GitHub repositories, contributing to both front-end (React, TypeScript) and back-end (Firebase, Node.js) codebases.
Participate in Agile development cycles , weekly check-ins, code reviews, and sprint planning.
Communicate regularly with the team and take initiative in problem-solving and feature ideation via Slack.
What We’re Looking For
Strong interest and some practical experience in web development with React.
Understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
Familiarity with Firebase.
Experience with AI tools or APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini, or similar frameworks) and an interest in applying them to user-facing features.
Comfortable using Git and GitHub for version control.
Knowledge of Agile development principles (Scrum).
Self-driven and curious : able to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
A passion for learning and improving user experiences through innovation.
